Job Description

Tonga Communications Corporation (TCC) is looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join our Technical division in Nuku'alofa. In this role you will help design, maintain and expand the mobile, fixed-line and internet infrastructure that keeps businesses, government offices and households connected across the Kingdom of Tonga.

You will work closely with our Network Operations Centre and field technician teams to plan capacity upgrades, troubleshoot complex faults and ensure network uptime meets the standards our customers rely on every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, monitor and maintain core and access network equipment (routers, switches, transmission links)
• Diagnose and resolve network incidents, escalating to vendors where required
• Plan and implement network capacity upgrades and new site rollouts
• Maintain accurate network documentation and change records
• Provide technical guidance to field technicians during installations and outages
• Participate in an on-call roster for after-hours network incidents

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Telecommunications, Computer Networking or a related field
• 3-5 years' experience in network engineering or a similar technical role
• Strong knowledge of Cisco routing & switching, TCP/IP and fibre network troubleshooting
• Ability to work independently and respond to urgent network issues
• Willingness to travel to outer islands occasionally for project work

Job Description

TCC's Vava'u branch is seeking a friendly and reliable Customer Service Representative to be the first point of contact for our customers in Neiafu and surrounding villages. You'll play an important role in making sure every customer leaves our office with their questions answered and their issues resolved.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist walk-in and phone customers with prepaid top-ups, plan changes and new connections
• Respond to billing enquiries and explain charges clearly to customers
• Log and follow up on technical support requests with the relevant team
• Process payments and maintain accurate cash handling records
• Promote current TCC plans, devices and promotions to customers
• Maintain a clean, welcoming branch environment

Requirements

• Tonga Form 6 certificate or equivalent
• 1-2 years' experience in a customer-facing role
• Excellent communication skills in Tongan and English
• Basic computer literacy (email, point-of-sale systems)
• Patient, calm manner when handling customer concerns
